How to take care of you Cabaret outfits
- After each use you should hang up your outfits to air overnight.
- There delicately crafted pieces were not made to be washed after every show and airing will ensure they stay clean and fresh for longer.
- I also suggest that you make inserts for the inside of your bra and belt. These should be made out of soft cotton – eg. T-shirt fabric – not only do they lend comfort to the costume, but when they are dirty they can be removed and washed or tossed.
- Using shoe boxes to store your bra belt sets and dresses in are an excellent idea. Mark the box or even stick a photo of the outfit that is kept inside on the top for easy access and recognition.
- Hanging up stretchy items, will over time, pull them out of proportion.
