Classes

jcamel-1 Dancers of the Desert offer a unique and brilliant approach to teaching the exquisite art of oriental dance. Our classes cater to student’s individual requirements, and vary from classes for ladies who are just looking for a fun way to exercise, to ladies who are looking to learn and later perform the art of Middle Eastern Dance.

Students will receive individual attention, instruction and correction from the very beginning. Most students complete two to four terms of beginners. Progress is unique to the individual and if you practice outside of class you will find your progress will be much faster.
We layer movement upon movement and you learn progressively. As you master your technique you will find new moves introduced and the next levels. Soon you will find yourself at a level of competence where you may wish to perform your new skills for family and friends at our concerts. Dedicated students have the opportunity to progress to professional level and gain paid employment.
