I was unsure whether I was a good belly dance candidate, being fat, well into my 40's, with a dance history of pronounced left-bodiedness. At that time I saw my physio at least once a week, and often was unable turn my head and suffered frequent neck and back pain. Achievement of each movement in belly has been a struggle for me, and moving two parts of my body -- simultaneously?! -- remains a challenge. But, five years down the road, I no longer see my physio, lost almost 30 kilos, and have had mountains of fun in a supportive, feminine environment. Thank you Geela!
