DSC_6507

  • Never stop learning and enhancing your skill
  • Practice makes perfect
  • Do flexibility exercises it will enhance your dancing
  • Remember to stretch
  • Use your space
  • Vary your dancing pace through out a song to give it more character and make it more interesting
  • Speak to your client about exactly what they want and what you offer
  • Tell your client what you will need regarding space, sound and music, lighting etc.
  • Check your facial expression! A pasted on smile is just as bad as none at all.
  • Posture is sooooooo important. A raised chin with good posture gives you a commanding presence – people will want to look!
  • Know what space you will be working in, this is very important when making a prop selection and planning your show
  • Plan the show ahead of time, and be prepared for any situation and change of plan!
  • Be aware of what is going on around you. Obstacles, people, waiters etc.
  • Make eye contact and acknowledge your audience
  • Be aware of any safety hazards.
